    Your Turn

    Okay folks!

    Respond and Tell me:
    1. Your current favourite song
    2. The song you will never tire of.
    3. If you can remember, what one of your favourite songs from 96/97 was.
    4. Your favourite Christmas song

    Just curious! Thanks tonnes!

    ::JiLL;;

Feeling:  Bored, kinda. The drone of the copier is competing with my Pandora tunes, and I don't really enjoy the repetative clicks and sliding noises. I've gone through 2000 sheets already, and I think I'm 1/4 of the way through my copying. Grr.

Desiring: To be home cleaning my room. It is still a disaster from last weekend, when I was stuck in there working on a paper for far far too long.

Loving: The idea of Christmas tunes and Christmas lights as soon as I get the chance!

Your current favourite song Probably "Chasing Cars" by Snow Patrol, I donno, I just really like it. The song you will never tire of. There are lots that I just don't seem to tire of, but I guess if I had to put one down, it would be "Wonderwall" by Oasis If you can remember, what one of your favourite songs from 96/97 was. 96/97 that would put me in grade 7, to be honest, I was going to say "Jumper" by Third Eye Blind, but since thats been said, I will say "Take a Picture" by Filter.  I don't know if thats when it came out or not, but I remebmer it about that time. Your favourite Christmas song There are far to many that I enjoy to list a favorite I think.  It seems like everytime I hear one that I haven't heard since last year, its my new favorite :)

I helped Karla decorate her place this evening (well I provided constructive criticism and helped string lights hehe) and I can't wait to string my own lights in the next couple days.  I have to think about my Christmas list soon, gotta give Santa plenty of time!

Hmm. Let me try that again. Being at the office on Sunday night has obviously numbed my brain

Ahem. Current favourite tune.... Tie: "Your Ex-Lover is Dead" (Stars), "Scratch" (Kendall Payne)

Also, addendum to the Christmas thing- I don't think I'll ever get tired of the "Carol of the Bells". I don't think I've ever heard a bad version of it. Not even Barenaked Ladies playing it with the synth could ruin the "Carol of the Bells".

Maybe I should have to answer my own questions, eh?

    Well, here she goes:

    1) Current tune:
    2) Never tire of: Switchfoot's "Let That Be Enough" or The Verve Pipe "Freshmen"
    3) 96/97: I seem to remember really liking Third Eye Blind's "Jumper" as well as the Verve's "Bittersweet Symphony"
    4) One Small Child is my standard favourite, but I must admit this really changes season to season. I currently really like Relient K's "I Celebrate the Day"

Oooh! I like this idea. Yay Jill!

    1. My current favourite would have to be "How it Ends" by Devotchka. It's a really manic, powerful song, and perfect to dance to. (Runners up would be Snow Patrol's "Chasing Cars" and "Come and Find Me" by Josh Ritter.)

    2. "The Wings" by Gustavo Santaolalla from Brokeback Mountain. I've listened to it literally more than 1000 times, and I still can't get enough of it.

    3. Goodness, it's hard to choose one! My top three would be Coolio's "Gangsta's Paradise, Annie Lennox's "No More 'I Love Yous'", and "Kiss From a Rose" by Seal. Honourable mention to all the tracks on Emmylou Harris' Wrecking Ball. (I suppose if I had to pick one, it would be "Kiss From a Rose.")

    4. "Christmas Song" by Dave Matthews is hands down my favourite Christmas song ever. In a single song, Matthews touches on the centrality of love in Jesus' life and death, the implications of His birth, and the simultaneous beauty and tragedy of His life. Particularly poignant for me is the line "gamblers and robbers, drinkers and jokers, all soul searchers, like you and me, searching for love, love, love." There's such deep truth in that song that I never tire of it, and always get something out of it. (Plus, I can't help but tear up when I sing along to it. I believe that Crystal, Rob, and Mike fell prey to my teariness when I subjected them to this song in my kitchen. It was an amusingly awkward moment.)

What about the rest of you guys? And you, Jill?
