4月4日 Maybe I've been far too busy living an amazing life to have kept my friends updated online. Or, I've been submersed in the world of homework and working for a living.
Truth of the matter is that winter weighs me down and I don't feel like expending energy on anything that involves things like thought . . . and effort . . . Anyway, it's still snowing, so I'm still less than inclined to type out thoughts.
But apparently I missed the entire month of March. I owe you (whether you want it or not) a few thoughts. Blame it on the snow; they'll be in point form.
- Hebrews is a great book of the Bible. . . I'm glad that small group has taken the time to read through and discuss it. There's a lot that convicts, a lot that challenges, a lot that frees and strengthens. That, and it's beautifully written in my humble opinion. One of the more eloquent sounding letters (if you can call it a letter).
- Snow. Geh. I hate that I've already used the word twice in this entry. Stupid snow.
- I'm going to be a bridesmaid! Congratulations Alicia and Dustin. You'll make a really handsome (beautiful?) married couple!
- Softball is around the corner! I'm going to run, catch, throw, cheer, jeer! Soooo happy about that!
- Jeremy is about to graduate from his Masters of Divinity program at Taylor. He's so smart! Off to different things in life for now- a mortgage broker program and eventually a PhD or second Masters. And here I am counting down the years to degree numero uno. Hmm.
- I've cut my hair (www.flickr.com/photos/sparlingo) -> I think there's a photo in there somewhere)
- I've taken to watercolour painting, though I'd love to move to oils sometime
- I'm still aspiring to play the banjo, and don't much care that none of my friends want to hear it! Viva la banjo!
- EASTER! Take some time to slow down, pick up your Bible, and read a bit about what our Saviour has done for us. I highly recommend finding someplace to quiet your heart and listen. I know I need to do it far more often than I do.
Obviously there's more on my mind than just this. But that'll do for now - catch you soonish. | |
